TRIMARK AQUACULTURE CENTRE WINS $100,000 AT SANITATION CHALLENGE 2019.

Trimark Aquaculture Centre won the ultimate prize for Private Partnerships with MMDAs at the prestigious Sanitation Challenge Awards 2019, dubbed “Grand Dignified City Award Ceremony” held at Marriot Hotel (Airport City) in Accra, Ghana.
Among the companies competing for the prize, Trimark Aquaculture Centre was adjudged the most outstanding firm in management of urban liquid waste using innovative technologies, partnerships and financing models.
Trimark Aquaculture was represented at the ceremony by the Founder and Centre Director; Mark Yeboah-Aqyepong and Suzette Emefa Sey; Production Manager.
Mark Yeboah-Agyepong is however with the assertion that this prize will aid them in fully utilizing their plans at the business site, thus, integrating Aquaponics in their recent business model.
The award winning Trimark Aquaculture Centre, in partnership with Via Water Aqua-For-All (The Netherlands), IWMI, GCIC, Waste Enterprisers (WE), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), have carried out proven research in sustainable use of treated wastewater for fish farming to reduce organic load in repository water systems.
The Sanitation Challenge is supported by The Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, IRC-Ghana, Ideas to Impact, IMC Worldwide, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Maple Consult.
