• Trimark Aquaculture

Updated: Nov 22, 2018

The TriMark Aquaculture Center has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to officially commence a Public Private Partnership (PPP).

This MoU was officially signed on the 20th of March, 2018 to give TriMark access to the Chirapatre Waste Treatment plant.

TriMark Aquaculture Centre further engaged it in Aquaculture purposes by investing the interest generated into the Operation and Maintenance of the treatment plant.

Findings however emphatically confirms the fact that aquaculture has the potential to generate revenue into the operation and maintenance of the treatment plant and also to the country as a whole.

It should be noted by the general public that the MoU which was signed on March 20, 2018 can be renewed.

Present at the signing of the MoU was TriMark, the Training, Research and Networking for Development (TREND) and KMA.

TREND, however is an institution that was contracted by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) to facilitate the drafting and signing of the MoU.

TriMark extends their accolades to Via Water/Aqua for All (The Netherlands), KMA, IWMI and Waste Enterprises.
